Gonorrhea Treatments | Prevention and Remedie & Medications

What complications can gonorrhea cause if not appropriately treated?

Gonorrhea affects both males and females, and while males usually develop symptoms early on with pain, inflammation and discharge, a large number of females can have no symptoms for a long time. This can cause many people to not seek medical care early and for complications to occur. Complications in females include:

1) Pelvic inflammatory disease:

Pelvic inflammatory disease is caused by migration of infection from the cervix, where it originated, higher up to the uterus and the fallopian tubes. Pelvic inflammatory disease causes pain, fever, and can be life-threatening in some females, requiring hospitalization.
